As you can figure out by the name, tutorial-trail is about tutorials, but why do we need this trail at all?! I believe that for every single skill, technique, method , trick, etc., there is a group of people who are in need of that specific knowledge, so we try to make that knowledge accessible to them. You may relate to this scenario wherein you are looking for an answer to your technical question and you cannot find it (no matter what you search the result is not what you want), after struggling for a period of time you find your answer on a dark corner on the internet (which you are not even sure about the accuracy of, because the resource is not valid). By making tutorials about the things we know (in great detail, by covering different possibilities and of course explaining steps) we achieve two goals: 1. Spreading the knowledge (especially between Steemians, who are not all geeks and so this kind of info could help them) 2. Putting Steemit in search engine results.
So let’s make high quality tutorials and make everyone smarter!

STEEMNEWS.ONLINE is SteemTrail's first fully branded trail. We're really hoping to promote good journalism from Steemit authors. We don't promote newslinks or other short-form posts. Sometimes we do promote videos, but it's very rare. What we're looking for is a clear record of the facts in an engaging style and which offers some sort of conclusion. We never promote articles that require the reader to click on a link to get a sense of closure. We also shy away from articles where Cheetah comments, though we will sometimes when we can be confident that the material wasn't plagiarized. We probably promote an average of three articles a day.
