Steemit is a circle jerk

As near as I can tell, Steem is a big circle-jerk where everyone is writing about how awesome Steem is.

It really irks me how the entire trending page is a circle jerk and the whole system's design promotes "follow me follow back" bullshit. Ironically, they try to prevent bots by having an approval line, yet the site is completely fucking littered with follow and upvote bots... Not to mention the complete lack of meaningful content... Popular and trending posts are all about how "the blockchain is improving" and random African "steem meetups". Additionally, half of the "original content" is not even content. I saw a 10 minute video of some fucktard with a nice video setup going off the cuff and ironically talking about how people should make more "quality" posts without saying anything of substance. This whole platform needs to die and be replaced with something that people would actually care about. Not a glorified, confusing, shitty version of reddit. I think for the most part I will stick to wordpress. It's been fun and thanks for all the fish.
