Cool article! I find plasma discharges of all kinds fascinating. I have a lot of high voltage supplies and when I'm not as busy as I currently am I like to experiment with them.
My coolest corona is from a 35000 volt supply I got donated to me as it was about to be thrown away. If the leads are too far apart to arc it will produce short jets of corona plasma. I've also found that arcs of all kinds produce tons of low frequency (~MHz level) radio interference.

Thanks. It is actually possible through study to use the corona generated frequency as jammer of certain kind. I find Telecoms engineering very interesting.
