[DTube] Newton's Law of Cooling - First Order Differential EquationssteemCreated with Sketch.

in #steemstem6 years ago (edited)

In this video, we derive Newton's Law of Cooling and use it to determine how fast a bottle of water cools when it is placed inside of a refrigerator.

We are given that the bottle of water is a room temperature of 25C when placed into a fridge kept at 3C. We are also given that after half an hour (30mins) the water temperature has dropped by 10C.

We want to find out

a) What the temperature is at 1 hour
b) How long it takes to reach a temperature of 4C

Thanks for watching. Please give me a "thumbs up" if you have found this video helpful.

Please ask me a maths question by commenting below and I will try to help you in future videos.

I would really appreciate any small donation which will help me to help more math students of the world. Please donate here: https://paypal.me/MasterWu

Hey @masterwu !
First of all: Thanks.
But now: I understood the beginning and I can use this knowledge in my daily life - but when you started with the formulars --- sorry --- I was out for this :P

That is just because I am too lazy to understand it and I personally see no use for myself. But I think you are doing a big effort to educate us here on the blockchain for using these formulars for our own and I highly appreciate this kind of content! That's why I would tag your content with #awesomediycontent and I know that @diytube will come around and give you a little upvote :)

Thanks for being here!

Thank you very much for you kind words @tibfox ... it's ok about the formulas haha, I don't blame you :)
