Ways to cope with anxiety and depression
Anxiety and depression are even worse when they mix. The ways you can cope when you are dealing with both at the same time can consist of different types of therapy. Such as:
Talk Therapy
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (teaches you how to adjust your thoughts and actions)
Interpersonal therapy (shows you how to communicate better)
Problem-solving (gives you skills to manage your symptoms)
Medication can also be used to help cope with anxiety and depression (if prescribed by your doctor or psychologist) two examples of these medications are:
Citalopram (Celexa)
Duloxetine (Cymbalta)
If you have suicidal thoughts or actions, you can do any of these four things:
Go to your local hospital and tell somebody about these thoughts
Call 911
Call the suicide prevention hotline at: 1-800-273-8255
