Implementation research (IR) is an approach that helps design strategies or solutions to defeat bottlenecks that prevent known proven and innovative public health interventions to reach the people who are in need them and ensure the interventions are used in a manner that provide the best possible outcome for which they were intended.

The Implementation Research toolkit is a working guide on how to develop and execute research to overcome this associated bottleneck within disease control programs.

It took TDR about 4 years for this toolkit to developed, pilot-tested and refined through workshops and implementation among country-based researchers and decision makers.

The course is being presented through WHO Massive open online course (MOOC) on implementation research: infectious diseases of poverty and the first official course on this toolkit begins May 17, 2018.

Registration is currently open and with the deadline being May 15, 2018.

There will be experts from 16 countries taking participants through the course and certificate at the conclusion of the course.

The course only requires an estimated commitment of two and a half hours/week and available in French, Spanish and English!
