Quantum Entanglement is the fact that pair particles (electrons, photons, etc) are related to each other. Therefore, measuring the state of one of the particles will give you information about the state of the other one. This phenomenon was discovered by Schrodinger and is the basis of research in quantum computers.

Reaching quantum entanglement is not something new. However, it was previously achieved between thermal clouds of particles. Now, researchers performed an experiment involving Bose-Einstein condensates.

Bose -Einstein Condensate state is achieved by cooling down atoms to a temperature very close to absolute zero.

According to the researchers, they separated the ultra-cold clouds from each other and they were able to notice that they were still entangled. The benefit of such experiment is the contribution it can provide to quantum technologies such as quantum computers, quantum simulations, and quantum metrology. And why ultra-cold atoms? Simply because they are able to serve a highly-entangled state containing large quantity of particles which will be useful for large-scale quantum computing.

The article is too short (3 paragraphs). You can try to explain more on the subject, perhaps do more to explain the concept than just present the news, I am sure it will be better received. Don't be shy to work a little for a good article, the rewards of being original and hardworking are nice.

I totally agree with you. However, no there is no access to the published paper except for members.
