The national capital woke up to rainfall on Thursday even as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain over the city and its neighbouring areas.

Delhi and its neighbouring Noida, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram and Faridabad will also experience light to moderate rain for the next two to three days, said the weather department.

The temperature in Delhi has been dropping after the city experienced light rainfall for the past few days. The city recorded a minimum temperature of 25.1 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and the maximum temperature settled at 34.1 degrees Celsius.

Delhiites shared visuals of the rain on Twitter and celebrated the dip in mercury.
