Part of generator and their functions.

My name is ebado samuel, I am an engineering student, I love practical more than the theory part of engineering.

I love working on engines both big and small, even fuel engines and diesel engines.

I can work on a tiger generators, that is most common generator we know very well.

Here are some of the parts of the small tiger generator. And going to mention just few parts of the generator.

1. fuel tank: the fuel tank is were fuel is turned in before the use of the generator. From the tank fuel is transfer to the other parts of the generator were fuel is needed.

2. fuel tap: the fuel tap controls the move or transfer of the fuel from the tank to the carburetor, the fuel tap has lock and open. When the fuel tap is on lock there is no movement of fuel from the tap but when it is open fuel movement occurs.

3. fuel hose: the fuel hose help the transfer of fuel from the tank to the carburetor accurately.

4. carburetor: the carburetor is an important part in the generator, in fact carburetor is very essential, the carburetor helps in transfer of fuel to the combustion chamber and the carburetor determines the consumption of fuel in the generator. The carburetor supplies fuel for complete combustion.

5. engine block: the engine block consists of the top cylinder the piston, basket bearing, connecting rod, inside the block is where complete combustion takes place with the help of spark ignition (spark plug).

6. piston: the piston help in the combustion through it's through and fro movement. As the piston moves up and down in the slive it's help to burn fuel that enter the combustion chamber into fire(smoke and goes out through the exust hole).

7. connecting rod: the connecting rod comes out directly for the cam shaft and holds the piston firmly inside the block and help in the movement of the piston.

8. rings: the ring are fixed attachly to the piston, the rings help the combustion chamber to have a better compression for ignition and make sure the is no linkage of air in the combustion chamber.

9. Top cylinder: the top cylinder is used to cover the block for a complete combustion chamber and the spark plug is fixed on the top cylinder.

10. starting coil: the starting coil is a very important electrical part in the generator, it help in spark of the generator ignition and it is connected directly to the spark plug.

11. capacitor : the capacitor is an another important electrical part in the generator, with out the capacitor the generator can not produce out put (current).

12. amateur : the amateur is another important part again which help in the production of emf (electro magnetic force) as the amateur moves round inside the coil winding.

13. cran case : the cran case is use to cover some of the part of the generator for it to have a better shape and beautiful it and for it to work effectly.
