Kovacic Wants Time to Play More at Real Madrid or Other Clubs
Croatia midfielder Mateo Kovacic has expressed his doubts about staying at Real Madrid for wanting more play time next season.
Before Kovacic, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale also said they could leave Santiago Bernabeu for their own reasons.
Gareth Bale and Kovacic have the same problem, namely the lack of play at Real Madrid.
According to Kovacic, at just 24 years old, always warming the bench will not be good for his football career.
"It is my time to play more and I'm sure I'll get it (either playing time) either at Real Madrid or at other clubs," Kovacic was quoted as saying by Goal.
"I have a contract at Real Madrid and currently I do not want to comment on other clubs," Kovacic said.
Mateo Kovacic who joined from Inter Milan in 2015 and then it can only be a coating at Real Madrid. Kovacic lost out against Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Isco in the Los Blancos midfield for the past three seasons.
Over at Real Madrid, Kovacic can only contribute three goals and eight assists. In this season, players numbered back 16 is playing as many as 36 games, with 15 of them starting from the bench.
On this minor note, many clubs who want services Kovacic next season. Manchester United, Juventus, and Tottenham Hotspur are rumored to be the three most serious clubs chasing Kovacic.
