9th Ranked Michigan State Hosts Indiana

There is only one game tonight in college basketball that features a top 25 team but it should be a good one. The Indiana Hoosiers play at the 9th ranked Michigan State Spartans. The game tips off at 6pm and can be seen on National Television on FS1. It will take place at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan. The Spartans are favored by 14 points and the over/under is 145 points.

It has been a tail of two seasons so far for the young Indiana Hoosier team. They had a rough start to the year after having to replace their head coach plus a ton of talent. They went 4-4 including a couple embarrassing losses but have played great lately and won 5 of their last 6. Indiana is 4-2 in Big Ten play and things are looking up. Junior Juwan Morgan is leading the team in scoring at 15.6 points per game and he will need to have a huge effort tonight if they want a chance at the upset.

The Michigan State Spartans entered the season with only one goal, to win the National Championship. Head coach Tom Izzo has one of his most talented teams ever. They got off to a hot start at 15-1 and earned the top spot in the country. But they have lost 2 of 3 games and are in desperate need of a big win tonight to get back on track.

Leading the way for the Spartans has been sophomore Miles Bridges. He is averaging 16.7 points per game and will likely leave school after this season to enter the NBA draft. But Bridges has plenty of help as there are 4 other players averaging in the double figures.

If Indiana is going to pose a serious threat on the road tonight, they will need to catch fire from the 3 point line. The key for Michigan State will be to keep a fast pace against a bad Hoosier defense. The Spartans have too much fire power over 40 minutes and should get the win.
