John 'Hands of Stone' Lineker is a rising star in his own right, and at nearly 40 fights into his career is finally getting the attention he deserves. Lineker is an American Top Team fighter, and we can see the ATT influence on his overall game.

We are witnessing the rise of a 26-year-old prospect who is also a veteran, a brawler who is also a grappler, a man who is also a demon. Lineker is a true-to-life Raging Bull, unlike anything we have ever seen; he takes men into the fire and challenges their will. His durability and power will be talked about for years as his run to the top is nothing short of beautiful violence.

'Hands of Stone' is 13-2 in his UFC run, he is on a 5 fight win streak with 3 of those wins coming by finish. A complete animal on the ground and feet, John brings nothing but barrages of angry strikes and powerful chokes to his arsenal. Lineker is an eat 2 shots to give 2 shots type of fighter, and although that had cost him early in his career...at bantamweight he is an entirely new beast. Lineker has been exposed to having "gas tank" issues in the past, but his rise at 135 pounds has shown he belongs, and he is the true dark horse of this division

John 'The Magician' Dodson is one of the most agile and powerful hitters in the UFC, he trains out of Albuquerque, New Mexico with his camp Jackson/Wink (home to Holly Holm, Jon Jones and numerous other pound-for-pound fighters). Dodson has a missile of a left hand and utilizes a brooding counter-striking style. His Southpaw stance makes him an incredibly effective body striker, and it is in fact body strikes that have set up many of his standing finishes (see his fights against Formiga, Montague).

Dodson stands at 5"3 with a reach of 66" and will stay on the smaller end of bantamweights in terms of size. 'The Magician' will have to use his stellar takedown defense and nuke of a left hand to be a force in the 135-pound division, he has much to prove as his run at flyweight was nothing short of spectacular. Dodson has fought comfortably at bantamweight before, in fact, he won TUF as a bantamweight by finishing TJ Dillashaw with strikes in the first round. Will we see a return to glory for the former flyweight contender?

Lineker vs Dodson: Tight Matchup

John Dodson vs John Lineker is a fight of matchmaking brilliance. We force a contender out of the bantamweight running, but we witness a spectacular and explosive matchup! Both men come in at the same height of 5"3 and practically the same reach: Lineker at 67" and Dodson at 66". Dodson is a potent counter striker which meshes very well with Lineker's burst forward style. Lineker will engage early and often, and he will pressure Dodson against the cage to establish octagon control. Dodson's deathly slow starts will cost him the edge in the early rounds, and Lineker is a master at engaging the brawl. Both men are quite hittable, and honestly, this fight may come down to a single blow landing first.

How to Play

• Vote on the main post to enter the bet (main post rewards will also be added to the Stake Pool).

• After 24 hours, the post and related game comments payout to the pool; remember 25% voters rewards are deducted from the total post payout value first as per Steem curation rules. Voters are rewarded in standard fashion in proportion to their Steem Power holdings.

The Stake Pool:

• The remaining 75% of the total payout is paid out in 50% Steem Power and 50% in liquid currencies, the latter now varies in payout ratio after the new fork. To make the process less complicated, we have decided to use all paid out SBD to buy Steem in the internal market to create a grand total Steem Stake Pool.

• 30% of the Stake Pool will be retained, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.

• 70% of the Stake Pool will be held until the event/game outcome is determined.

• Once the winning outcome is determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to Mass Distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.

• Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn SP rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote and comment in support of the redistribution initiative.
