Michael Page
Michael 'Venom' Page is the 29-year-old welterweight phenom fighting out of London Shootfighter's Gym in London, England. He is one of the most highly touted prospects outside of the 'UFC' organization.. and is believed by many to soon be a true pound for pound fighter. 'MVP' resembles a young Anderson Silva with an arsenal of unorthodox tornado kicks and switch flying knees.. along with an array of charismatic post fight speeches and disregard for all his opponents skill.
Page is a black belt in freestyle kickboxing which allows him to switch hit between southpaw and orthodox...this befuddles opponents into the fence and sets up massive strikes. He is a towering 6"3 with a reach of 77" and he uses his reach very effectively from all angles. Page can throw fight ending shots from a great distance, and his unorthodox nature results in unseen, powerful blows landing in a very precise fashion. Never has an injury been seen like the one suffered by 'Cyborg' Santos against 'MVP': a flying knee to counter a right hand led to a perforated skull and a grotesque finish to an already hard to watch fight.
Page has never been below a 2 to 1 favorite, and he has never been in any real trouble in the cage. He has shown a slight susceptibility to being taken down, but he has never been controlled on the ground...and he constantly seeks submissions off his back. 'MVP' has a different air about him, he has a tenacity and confidence most other men do not have. His slim frame keeps his power deceptive, and his accuracy makes him one of the best pure strikers in MMA bar none. With an ever growing arsenal of weapons, 'MVP' is a truly must watch athlete.
Fernando Gonzalez
Fernando Gonzales is the 33-year-old 'Menifee Maniac' fighting out of Team Quest in Northern California. Fernando has been fighting the sport of mixed martial arts since early 2003, and can be considered a true veteran. He has become a staple for the 'Bellator' fight organization, fighting for them consistently since early 2014. Fernando has been pawned by the organization in the past to make streaking contenders look good, but he has derailed many parties.
The legendary judo wizard Karo Parisyan was on a 2 win ko streak when Fernando was called up to make it a 3rd, little did he know Fernando would actually end his night with strikes. Gonzales is no slouch on the feet or ground; he relies on clubbing left hands and big overhands to make his way into the clinch. His takedown game is somewhat ineffective, but he likes to stand and bang anyway. Most of Fernando's submissions come from rocking the opponent on the feet first, so don't expect him to panic wrestle immediately.
The Matchup
The match-up between 'MVP' and Gonzales is not hard to see through. This is a savvy vet in Fernando who has a lot of miles on him, and this is a matchup in which is his simple combination punching just won't cut it. 'MVP' will be the longest and rangiest fighter Fernando has ever faced...and arguably the hardest hitting. Fernando is quite hittable where 'MVP' truly isn't from what we have seen; most fights have Page landing hard blows from nearly the middle of the cage.
This Englander is a true nightmare for most everyone in that welterweight division, 'Bellator' made their best signing with this young man, and they know he can go far. With Rory MacDonald being signed to the ranks, it is only a matter of time before that beautiful array of violence takes place. Watch this fight to see what 'MVP' does to adapt to his toughest test to date...it is always surprise and spectacle when this man straps gloves on...it will be worth it.

How to Play
Vote on the main post to enter the bet (main post rewards will also be added to the Stake Pool).
Cast your Vote Bet on ONLY ONE outcome for which you bet on for the win (Multiple comment votes will be automatically disqualified by the script, unvote and revote counts as multiple votes and will be disqualified).
After 24 hours, the post and related game comments payout to the pool; remember 25% voters rewards are deducted from the total post payout value first as per Steem curation rules. Voters are rewarded in standard fashion in proportion to their Steem Power holdings.
The Stake Pool:
The remaining 75% of the total payout is paid out in 50% Steem Power and 50% in liquid currencies, the latter now varies in payout ratio after the new fork. To make the process less complicated, we have decided to use all paid out SBD to buy Steem in the internal market to create a grand total Steem Stake Pool.
30% of the Stake Pool will be retained, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.
70% of the Stake Pool will be held until the event/game outcome is determined.
Once the winning outcome is determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to Mass Distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.
Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn SP rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote and comment in support of the redistribution initiative.
Entry cut-off time is the earlier of the post payout or the start of the event.
