Sunday, November 6 at 6:30 pm ET, the Toronto FC pay a visit to the New York City FC for what will be the second leg of the Eastern Conference semifinal two game series between them. TFC won the first leg [2 – 0]. In their only two games ever played at the Yankee Stadium, Toronto never won against New York, but the two teams were involved in a [2 - 2] tie earlier this year, there in the Bronx. Just like in the first leg, all that matters here is the first 90 minutes as if it was a regular game. Last week’s game doesn’t count. At the sound of the whistle after the second half, your prediction will be tested against the score.
First Leg Highlights - Toronto FC [2 - 0] New York City FC
Toronto FC
Toronto is in a good position to enter the next round. If they can shutout New York, it will be mission accomplished. But they need to be careful not to bunker and only defend to preserve the 0 from others going into the back of their net. 90 minutes is a long time to spend in your half of the field, especially if we consider the dimensions at Yankee Stadium as the shortest of the league. TFC also needs to be worried about NYCFC’s offense. With their 62 goals, they are the team with the most goals scored for in 2016. But Toronto FC’s defense is no sieve, they have only let in 39 goals against, second best this year after the Colorado Rapids. Will this matchup turn into NY’s excellent offense trying to resolve Toronto’s solid defense?
Key Player:
Jozy Altidore
Last week, we highlighted the small Sebastian Giovinco’s abilities as a playmaker, today, we are going to acknowledge the big guy who is often at the other end of the Atomic Ant’s start of plays. His name is Jozy Altidore, a mighty American forward of 6ft 0in weighting in at 175lb. This 26 years old Livingstone, New Jersey native is a regular of the U.S. Men’s National Team call-ups to defend his country’s colors. He is hot right now, having scored 12 goals in his last 16 games with the Toronto FC, including the one which unlocked the score in the 84th minute of last week's meeting. 8 minutes later, they went on to score their second goal just before the whistle's final blow. When it ended, Altidore had some passionate pushing and shoving with some of NYCFC players, setting the table for the upcoming second clash.

New York City FC
The two goals deficit and no goal away that NYCFC came out with after the first leg bare no weight for this Mass SP Distribution Game. But it will certainly affect the way the teams will play. Let’s entertain some scenarios so that you understand what is at stakes in the real game between the two clubs. Anything short than a [2 – 0] win by New York means they are eliminated. Obviously [0 – 1], [1 – 0] and any draw is not sufficient for NY to advance. [2 – 0] and it goes into two overtime half's of 15 minutes followed by a penalty shootout if necessary. If New York City FC wins [3 – 1], Toronto FC still go through because when the amount of goals after the 1st & 2nd legs is equal between the two adversaries ([0 – 2] + [3 – 1] would make it [3 – 3] overall in this case) the tie-breaker is the number of goals scored away, meaning the 1 goal by TFC at NY is more than the 0 scored last week at BMO Field by NYCFC. Thus, New York will be playing for nothing less than scoring 3 goals at the same time as allowing none to Toronto. Conclusion: if you upvoted New York and the scores are [1 – 0], you get the reward but be aware that they will be exposed at the back by going forward for more goals.
Key Player:
Frank Lampard
Frank James Lampard is an icon of English football. He is Chelsea’s all-time leading goal scorer having 147 goals in 429 appearances on his pedigree with this famous club. Since he signed with New York City, he has had health problems keeping him sporadically out of play. In 2015, he made his debut as late in the season as on August 1, and in 2016 he was sidelined by a calf injury until May 22. Later in the season, in the September 17 game against FC Dallas, he had to leave the game because he stretched that same left side muscle which gave him trouble earlier. Then, in the last game of the season, he was able to touch the field for 17 minutes. Thus, it’s no surprise that in the first leg of the series, he only came as a substitute in the 61st minute. Whether he plays the entire 90 minutes or less, even from as far from play as on the bench he brings experience and leadership when merely dressed up in the team's eighteen. But surely his teammates would prefer to see him on the pitch where he can exercice the most his influence. His numbers, such as 15 goals in 29 games played in MLS, give a hint as to how he can change the course of a game at the blink of an eye.

How to Play
Vote on the main post to enter the bet (main post rewards will also be added to the Stake Pool).
Cast your Vote Bet on ONLY ONE outcome for which you bet on for the win (Multiple comment votes will be automatically disqualified by the script, unvote and revote counts as multiple votes and will be disqualified).
After 24 hours, the post and related game comments payout to the pool; remember 25% voters rewards are deducted from the total post payout value first as per Steem curation rules. Voters are rewarded in standard fashion in proportion to their Steem Power holdings.
The Stake Pool:
The remaining 75% of the total payout is paid out in 50% Steem Power and 50% in liquid currencies, the latter now varies in payout ratio after the new fork. To make the process less complicated, we have decided to use all paid out SBD to buy Steem in the internal market to create a grand total Steem Stake Pool.
30% of the Stake Pool will be retained, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.
70% of the Stake Pool will be held until the event/game outcome is determined.
Once the winning outcome is determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to Mass Distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.
Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn SP rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote and comment in support of the redistribution initiative.
Entry cut-off time is the earlier of the post payout or the start of the event.

@steemsports in the unlikely event that when the Stake Pool is divided up between the winners and the nomenclature resolution goes below the third decimal place (example: 0.0001), then Steem decimal restrictions won’t allow a payout and the pool will carry over to the next game.
Please vote responsibly :).
