We are presenting the Cleveland Cavaliers vs the Boston Celtics.
Wednesday Nov 3 on FOX at 7:30 PM EST @ Quicken Loans Arena
Cleveland, OH
(11:30 PM UTC)
These teams have met already in preseason action - the Cavaliers beat the Celtics by a score of 98-94.
Watch Jordan McRae as he lead with 32 pts in the pre-season match.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Lebron has only been averaging 9.5 pts a night - which is something that is bound to change at some point. Irving is putting up the most - averaging 26.8 pts per game. Cleveland won last year on the back of Lebron James and his brilliant performance. If he comes out to play the Celtics will be in trouble.
So Far This Season:
Cavaliers are undefeated this season winning their first four games.
The Cleveland Cavaliers, also known as the Cavs, are an American professional basketball team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cavs compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league's Eastern Conference Central Division. The team began play in 1970. Since 1994, the team has played its home games at Quicken Loans Arena, which is shared with the Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League and the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League.
The Cavaliers have featured many NBA legends during their history, including LeBron James, Brad Daugherty, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and Mark Price. Past NBA greats such as Nate Thurmond, Lenny Wilkens, Walt Frazier, and Shaquille O'Neal have also played in Cleveland, albeit near the end of their careers.
The franchise has won five Central Division championships (1976, 2009, 2010, 2015, and 2016), three Eastern Conference Championships (2007, 2015, 2016), one NBA championship (2016), and have reached the playoffs 20 times in their 46-year history. The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors in NBA Finals Game 7 on June 19, 2016, after coming back from a 3-1 deficit, making them the first team in NBA history to accomplish that feat. However, the team has also had a number of dubious distinctions, such as former owner Ted Stepien's tenure, which led the NBA to create a rule regulating the trading of draft picks, known as the "Stepien rule", and a 26-game losing streak in 2010–11, which, at the time, tied the record for the longest losing streak in major American professional sports.
Game Stats Pregame
Boston Celtics
Thomas, Browdy and Crowder combine for almost 50 pts on average. These are the key players for Boston - when they play well the rest of the squad puts up numbers to reflect. Boston is playing against Cleveland at home - look for the big three to try to put up numbers while shutting down Lebron. It should make for great basketball.
So Far This Season:
The Celtics are off to a 2-1 start to the season. Last year they finished off 7th with a 40-42 record.
The Boston Celtics (/ˈsɛltɪks/) are an American professional basketball team based in Boston, Massachusetts. The Celtics compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member club of the league's Eastern Conference Atlantic Division. Founded in 1946 and one of eight NBA teams (out of 23 total teams) to survive the league's first decade, the team is owned by Boston Basketball Partners LLC. The Celtics play their home games at the TD Garden, which they share with the National Hockey League (NHL)'s Boston Bruins. The franchise's 17 championships are the most of any NBA franchise, and account for 24.6 percent of all NBA championships since the league's founding in 1946.[2] As a percentage of championships won, the Celtics are the most successful franchise to date in the major four traditional North American professional sports leagues.[note 1]
The Celtics have played the Lakers a record 12 times in the Finals, including their most recent appearances in 2008 and 2010, where the Celtics have won nine meetings (but only two since 1980). Four Celtics players (Bob Cousy, Bill Russell, Dave Cowens and Larry Bird) have won the NBA Most Valuable Player Award for an NBA record total of 10 MVP awards.[3] Their mascot 'Lucky the Leprechaun' is a nod to the team's Irish heritage and to Boston's historically large Irish population.[4]
The Celtics rose again after struggling through the 1990s to win a championship in 2008 with the help of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen in what was known as the new "Big 3" era, following the original "Big 3" era of the 1980s that featured Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Robert Parish.
After the end of the Big 3, general manager Danny Ainge began a rebuilding process with the help of new head coach Brad Stevens, who led the Celtics to a return to the playoffs in 2015.

How to Play
Vote on the main post to enter the bet (main post rewards will also be added to the Stake Pool).
Cast your Vote Bet on ONLY ONE outcome for which you bet on for the win (Multiple comment votes will be automatically disqualified by the script, unvote and revote counts as multiple votes and will be disqualified).
After 24 hours, the post and related game comments payout to the pool; remember 25% voters rewards are deducted from the total post payout value first as per Steem curation rules. Voters are rewarded in standard fashion in proportion to their Steem Power holdings.
The Stake Pool:
The remaining 75% of the total payout is paid out in 50% Steem Power and 50% in liquid currencies, the latter now varies in payout ratio after the new fork. To make the process less complicated, we have decided to use all paid out SBD to buy Steem in the internal market to create a grand total Steem Stake Pool.
30% of the Stake Pool will be retained, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.
70% of the Stake Pool will be held until the event/game outcome is determined.
Once the winning outcome is determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to Mass Distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.
Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn SP rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote and comment in support of the redistribution initiative.
Entry cut-off time is the earlier of the post payout or the start of the event.

@steemsports is not a traditional betting platform and no fiat currency is used as rewards or in casting bets; as such does not fall under any gaming and gambling jurisdictions; but even so, users are urged to first consult with the laws and age restrictions of their countries.
@steemsports in the unlikely event that when the Stake Pool is divided up between the winners and the nomenclature resolution goes below the third decimal place (example: 0.0001), then Steem decimal restrictions won’t allow a payout and the pool will carry over to the next game.
Please vote responsibly :).

Check your writing dude, today is not Sunday!
Fixed, thank you!!
It's all good :D Lovin @steemsports
Uhm... Why is Dellavedova and Mozgov still listed with the Cavs? Is this a probable starting 5 from last season? Delly is with the Bucks now and Mozgov is with the Lakers. Plus, Horford would definitely start for the Celtics.
@steemsports, pretty sure Tim Mozgov isn't going to play considering he is on the Lakers, but he looks good on the Cavs starting 5. ;-)
Good eye!! We have just fixed it :) thanks for notifying us @jedau and @scaredycatguide
