The battle for the NLDS is just as dramatic as it is in the west. The pitching matchups in this series have been epic. The Dodgers and Cubs are two teams that are absolute all-star teams. Anyone who saw Kershaw pitch in game 2 would agree that this is one of the best NLDS series in recent memories. With the teams tied at 1 game going into Game 3, we know we can expect more solid pitching the whole way through.

The Dodgers had a 2016 record of 91-71, The Dodgers beat the Nationals to advance to the NLCS.

The Dodgers have one of the most evenly balanced teams in the National League and plan on giving the Cubs a run for their money. This is a very exciting series. Hill is expected to pitch.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are an American professional baseball team based in Los Angeles, California. The Dodgers compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) West division. Established in 1883 in Brooklyn, New York,[1][2] the team moved to Los Angeles before the 1958 season.[3] They played for four seasons at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum before moving to their current home of Dodger Stadium in 1962.

The Dodgers as a franchise have won six World Series titles and 21 National League pennants. 11 NL MVP award winners have played for the Dodgers, winning a total of 13 MVP Awards, Eight Cy Young Award winners have pitched for the Dodgers, winning a total of twelve Cy Young Awards. The team has also produced 16 Rookie of the Year Award winners, including four consecutive from 1979 to 1982 and five consecutive from 1992 to 1996.

Chicago Cubs

I think even some Dodgers fans would love to see the Cubs win the world series. This is probably the best Cubs team in history with over 103 wins this season (best in baseball) - and fantastic positional play all over the field. History and superstition aside – they have just as good a chance as the Dodgers to win it. These two teams could be playing each other for the World Series – they are both that good. The problem is – only one – can proceed. I’ve been burned by the Cubs before – every year thinking they will get better. With pitchers like Arietta, why not be confident? If you are trying to decide who is going to win - here is my 2cents - history is against a Cubs – if you are a glass half full person pick the Cubs – if you are the glass half empty pick the Dodgers. Since you have nothing to lose – I say, vote for the lovable Cubs.

Their 2015-2016 record was 103-85. They finished first in the Central division - the national league - and all of baseball.

Chicago is a hitters nightmare - they have a lot of firepower like LA - this will truely be a pitchers series. Arrieta is expected to pitch.

So Far This Season:

The Chicago Cubs this year were the best team in baseball with 103 wins. It is improbable that they will do anything but win the world series. They have a perfectly balanced team that is a dream to watch. The series is currently tied at 1-1 as we await the results of Game 3 (not currently played). Regardless of who takes the edge in Game 3 - this series will be a grind to the end.

The Cubs are known as "the North Siders", a reference to the location of Wrigley Field within the city of Chicago, and in contrast to the White Sox, whose home of U.S. Cellular Field is on the South Side. The Cubs have a divisional rivalry with the St. Louis Cardinals, and an interleague rivalry with the Chicago White Sox.

• 30% of the Stake Pool will be retained, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.

• 70% of the Stake Pool will be held until the event/game outcome is determined.

• Once the winning outcome is determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to Mass Distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.

• Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn SP rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote and comment in support of the redistribution initiative.

• Entry cut-off time is the earlier of the post payout or the start of the event.
