Skateboarders are pioneers of social media. They are masters of content marketing. Skate companies were doing "content marketing" before it was called that. Instagram blew up because of skateboarders. People bought iPhones just to have Instagram to connect with their skate homies.

We need to do this with Steemit. Think of Steemit as a planet that a bunch of humans landed on and are starting a society from scratch. We need to pioneer Skateboarding here on Steemit.

Steemit can Revolutionize Skateboarding if we all band together and work towards building a super strong skate community. Skate communities are the most tightly knit communities of any kind, so there is no reason it would not work that way here.

What I am proposing is to have a weekly or bi-weekly Steemit skatevideo events.

Look at how @luzcypher does his Open Mic.

Do you think we could do that with Skateboarding here on Steemit?

We could have the contests be called the name of a trick that everyone has to go out and do, and the winner gets the prize. We could start the prize out at 1 SBD and then increase it by +1 SBD every week.

So like the first week will be "KICKFLIP" where everyone has to go out and film a kickflip and the best kickflip wins.

Maybe the next week is "<1:00 min edit" where you just make a cool edit. or "FRONTSIDE GRIND" or something like that.

But the idea here is to get EVERYONE some money, like it does with Open mic. There is so much money coming in that everyone who submits something gets at least a few bucks. Thats what I want to happen.

I think we just need to start WEEK 1 and see where it goes.
