Welcome to the 41st episode of the Steem Sister Show!
Your hosts are @coruscate and @maryjaney. We are two sisters using the Steem blockchain to chat about our life experiences and provide a little entertainment value to the Steemit Community.
Topic of this Episode – Good Customer Service
Waaaay back at the beginning of the show - we did an episode all about our crazy customer service stories. We have both worked a multitude of customer service jobs from a phone center, to a waitress, to a barista, to a hotel... and so we are full of stories.
We thought we'd bring a little positivity to the conversation and talk more about what good customer service means for us. Of course, we couldn't resist sharing a couple stories too...

What is the Steem Sister Show All About?
We aim to bring more “non-crypto” related content to the Steem Blockchain. Although there is nothing wrong with this kind of content (@corsucate even posts on crypto related material sometimes) – we want to help create a better onboarding experience for new users. We talk a lot about attracting new users to the platform – but if the trending page is filled with crypto posts and flagging wars, they are likely to lose interest quickly.
We hope that by creating content that is more similar to what they are used to seeing on other social media sites – they will feel more excited about being here and creating content of their own!
How Does It Work?
We pick a different topic every episode, and then throw totally random questions about that topic in a hat and go back and forth. We always have a mix of our own questions and some audience questions. Our rule is that we cannot tell each other our answers before filming! So you guys are getting our raw, unfiltered reactions here.
Every episode we announce the next week’s topic so people can submit questions.

We were just in Toronto for the Steem Creators Conference and were both so inspired by @anomadsoul's stories. He said something that kind of stuck with both of us - and we want to explore a bit more in our episode next week. He said that even though he is often seen as a "travel blogger", he doesn't just go and take pictures next to the major attractions and write about that. He strives to create interesting adventures in his travels and then writes about that.
So next week, we will be chatting all about creating adventurous moments and experiences in your life.

I once had an angry customer at a job threaten to murder me. Luckily it was a phone based role but he told me he would find me and kill me in a fairly horrific way.
We were allowed to end the calls if customers got too out of hand so I ended the call right there. My role was in compliance and he'd been screwed over by our rep but he didn't need to threaten me! :(

Thanks for sharing those customer service stories! You two have quite a bit of combined experience in this, and it shows. I like the 'pushy' approach to entice people... it almost borders being a bit flirty, which can work too! hehe
For next week’s topic on "Creating an Adventurous Life", I'd like to ask you the following:
either by hiding 'containers/boxes' or seeking them out?
If you're not familiar with geocaching, it's typically an outdoor activity where you can use a phone app and your phone's GPS to track down hidden 'containers'. They're usually hidden quite well, and some 'containers' may be difficult to discover (it's totally like a game!). Once you find the 'container' (from my experience) you may find notes left behind by past travelers, trinkets/items to take with you, and/or you're more than welcome to leave something behind for others to discover.
This video is perfect for anyone reading this that may have an interest:
On a road trip to Nova Scotia that my wife and I did with some friends, everywhere we made a stop was another opportunity to go out and hunt for geocaches. We met others while doing this, found some bizarre stuff and left a few things of our own behind! We had a blast! Have you ever tried this, @anomadsoul? Or do you have any interest in this?
Maybe it's another way to bring people to the Steemit platform? It could be as simple as laminating a few small square cards with the Steem logo, website address, your username and a unique code. That way, if someone discovers a 'container' that you left a card behind in, if they join Steemit and send you that code, you could verify where they discovered the code and reward them (or something!) - I don't know, it's late, I'm tired lol

Hi @coruscate, this would be my very first comment on steemit and I found your show. I must say you sisters look so cute together. As a freelance salesman, I know I am nothing without my customers so I strive to provide them with good service. I would love to follow your show. How often do you do it? Is it weekly?
I would also like to submit my question if you don't mind. Here goes...
Would you be likely to just pack a bag one day, enter your car and drive off on a year long adventure? Can you leave everything familiar behind and go sight seeing particularly strange country?
