The 2018 grand national took place today, let's see if anyone got lucky and won that 1/4 oz Lydian lion round
Well, I was surprised at the lack of entrants, I thought free silver would have whipped up a bit of interest.
So from 40 starters only 13 managed to finish and they were:
In order to win, you needed to guess the first 3 places (1st,2nd,3rd). Maybe this was too much to ask. If you could have placed a £1 bet on naming the first 3 places, you would walk away with over £13,000!!
1st- 13
2nd- 21
3rd- 36
@armshippie managed to pick the winner, but didn't get second or third and that was as close as we got.
The race itself was the closest finish for a very long time and they actually had to have a "photo finish" to split them
NAIL BITING STUFF!!!
I won't be able to retire anytime soon, but I got my money back and enough for a pint. Good times 😁.
I still want to give this 1/4 oz round away so watch this space.

Geez, I got pretty close for a dartboard throw. 21, 3, 13 was my pick. Only just missed the win with 21 and the eventual winner I had 3rd.
