2016 1/4 oz Gold Queen's Beast - Lion of England

in #steemsilvergold7 years ago (edited)

Good afternoon, Steemians!

I've shown plenty of silver for my One piece of silver a day posts, but I thought I would switch over to gold too, as I do have some.

Today, I'm showing the first gold coin I ever bought. Now, this isn't the first piece of gold I've ever had. Probably 5 years ago I bought a 1 oz. PAMP Suisse bar, but sold it about a year later.

I believe strongly in precious metals, be it silver or gold. I am much more of a silver guy, but also think it's important to diversify. The same can be said about the cryptos - we should diversify a bit because putting all of your eggs in one basket might end up costing you.

The first gold coin I ever bought is one that I still have today. It's the 2016 1/4 oz Queen's Beast - Lion of England.

Close up in capsule - it was hard to photograph this coin with my iPhone, as it didn't want to focus as I moved in closer. I had to back up and zoom in to get this picture.

Had to take it out of the capsule and give you a better reference as to its size.

I will likely show other pieces from the same series in the future, and as I do I'll likely photograph all of them together as I go.

Thanks for stopping by, Steemians! Enjoy your Friday!

Nice coin. I want to start picking up 1/4 oz gold myself. I need to finish my collection of silver 1 oz kooks first. I need the first 5.

dang what a collection! I only have the 2017 kook. Would love to have them all!

Nice piece of gold, the queens beast series are so nice. I should really get a bit of gold. I'm way to heavy in silver but I just love it so much and need one of everything. PS put some of those white gloves, I know gold doesn't tarnish, but it just makes me cringe so much.

Haha! I always hold it on its edge though. I love gold just to look at. I love silver to hold and feel :D and because it's so fricken' cheap!

Love it obviously. Thanks for the breaking up the silver

Beautiful! I need to pick up some gold

It's the prettier of the two metals, if you ask me... But it's also 70 times more expensive... :/

Yeah exactly I'm gonna wait to the ratio is a lot better

I have the 2 oz silver lion I still have to venture in the 1/4 oz gold coins of the serie.
Thanks for showing.

My pleasure! I have that one too! I will show at some point or another!

The Queen's Beasts is an already exciting series -- esp the Red Dragon of Wales. Fyi, the 2oz silver version feels mighty good in hand ;)

Cheers! And great pick!!!

[edit: just read posts...looks like you already have the 2oz version -- of course you do!!!

Keep on stacking!

I have a few of the two ounce silver coins, maybe I'll show them with the gold ones I have tomorrow :)

That's a very nice quarter ounce gold. Nice coin and good pics. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much :) My pleasure.

that's a beautiful coin my friend, I think you are right about silver. Silver is way way undervalued! But honestly, I prefer gold just that I can't really afford it that's why I bought my first 20 oz ASE a month ago.. :) Keep stackin my friend

Wow that's awesome that you started just now! So you got some silver on sale! hehe! You keep stackin' as well! Yeah in terms of wealth I have about silver to gold ratio of 10:1 but ounces it's crazy lol

Yeah touch that gold! Rub it gently! I love it!

Wow excellent brother post, very good content!
