Stick a Fork in Me — I’m Done!

4 days, 4 family events, back2back2back2back

I’m done! No more fancy cheeses, no more charcoots, no more delicious oozing appies nor juicy tender meats, no more champagne cocktails, no more cookies, and no more freaking events! (...but maybe a lil’ more whiskey 😜) All i wanna’ do is become part of the couch and watch old James Bond movies, or the complete Star Wars cannon (chronological or sequential? It is always a tough call!).

...the kids are asleep — those wildthings! — and Mrs. D has conked out with them. We all had a wonderful family Christmas but man o man, it is gonna’ be low and slow for a day or two!

Here’s the Cleopatra (from Ray) that found it’s way into my stocking for Christmas Morning.

Mrs. D got a new Libertad to add to her stack, and the boys each got an old style Libertad in their stockings. But also, good ol’ ray sent them each a Hotwheels car and a big stack of old 40% Halves so they really have a “stack” and not just a few rounds — thanks @raybrockman, my boys both know about their Uncle Ray in Alabama...it’s very fun 😁👍

And those Hotwheels were awesome for the boys to play with on their new mini-track: the thing shoots a car out of a recycling truck, around a bend and then flips the car right into a dumpster and slams the lid every time! I tell you, they must have somehow mined Charlie’s imagination, ‘cause this thing is rad, and absolutely perfect for a kid who has loved dumpster trucks since the way back!

He can be a bugger to photograph, and he really gets into his play-time, but how hilariously cute when he’s saying “no daddy! Leave me alone!”
