Holy Mackeral!!! Howling Wolves & Hellya @dfinney

Today i plundered!

Not so much that i spent a big load of cash, although i did spend some, but i got some really cool stuff both in the mail and from my lcs.

First off, holy Mackeral! I scored these 10 x ‘67 dimes for $12.50 Cad. I learned also that 1967 dimes and quarters are 60% Ag, while the 50 cent pieces and dollars in ‘67 were still 80%. I think the switch-over happened mid 1968. Some have silver and some are alloy. Whatever... the info is readily available. I bought these 10dimes cause they were pristine BU, i had a few bucks left, and my guy had set them aside for me. Mmmmm, Mmmm,

I got some other goodies too but i’ll show those in a sec... i want to do a “surprise unboxing” first. This morning i went by my PO box and to my great surprise and delight there was a package in there! Hello Gorgeous!!!

But wait...who’s it from? ‘Cause it’s too light to be the steem 10bar i won in one of Ray’s raffles. Flip it over, and huh!!!? @dfinney! I don’t remember expecting anything from her...

Now both my stackitus and interest were starting to flare up. What the ‘ell?

Thank you so much for kind note, chocolate, and one more killer ounce for the ol’ loot pile! Maybe it was getting an unexpected ozer in the mail, or maybe it was because it was so shiny, or maybe it was because i have a bad case of stackitus, but whatever it was, it drove me directly to the underground free parking lair at my lcs and then zombied me up the stairs and into the cage.

The dimes i showed earlier were put away for me by my buddy P, but he had some other lovelies for me as well. Apparently they just came in and they were tucked away for me — SWEET!!! — it teally does help to build relationships with the main peoole you do biz with. These guys really make me feel like my business is important to them.
So what’d P have for me?

50 cent pieces!!! Gorgeous old 50 cent pieces. The 1967 depicts a Howling Wolf, it is 80% silver and has 0.3 oz. in each of them. They were so unbelievably BU that they look “proof” i grabbed 25 of ‘em and 5 other old “Coat of Arms” .50’s
$15 dollars of face value for $15.25 per — a freaking smoking deal! I’m gonna have to get out the loupe for these and consider if they are worth grading. Just gorgeous! Like totally brand-new looking all of them.

They were so shiny it was hard to get a good picture of them while i was waiting for my wonton soup. (Maybe i’ll post some loupe shots next couple days.)
