Today's coin unboxing #6, features the 1/4oz Gold 2014 Feng Shui Koi proof coin struck by the New Zealand Mint. The coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of Niue with a denomination of twenty five dollars. This coin has an extremely limited mintage of just 888 coin sets. The coin number of this coin is 174.

As I am a member of the https://silverstackers.com/ forum I get to meet some incredible Australian and New Zealand stackers. I met a first class stacker from New Zealand who was also a distributor for the New Zealand Mint. This is why I was so fortunate to get my hands on this amazing gold coin with such a limited mintage of only 888 coin sets.

Coin Certificate

The accompanying coin certificate reads:

In Chinese tradition, Koi are symbolic of unity and fidelity as they are known to swim together in pairs. Due to this, they are often given as wedding gifts in the form of charms and figurines. Koi are also seen as an auspicious sign of abundance, wealth, and of a perfect union between partners.

They have been known to represent fertility, due to their ability to reproduce in great numbers. The symbology of the Koi is closely associated with the energy and flow of water, the mysterious giver of life, health, and nourishment.
