Who likes Koala’s?

I love perth mint products, as does i am sure most people do. I have been stacking Kookaburra and Koala’s but just really got into it in 2016. I really wanted to do a set of Kookaburra’s but some of the back dates were just too much money. So I got to thinking. Koala’s are really not too old yet and the popularity is really not what the kookaburra is yet. So I decided I was going to work on the Koala set..

The hardest task was going to find the 2008. It had the lowest mintage at 84,057 coins. When I was looking this coin. At the time I found it was cheaper to buy it slabbed as a GEM BU than buying the raw coin. So here it is

Next was I needed to find the 2007 Koala. This is the first year of issue. The mintage is higher then the 2008 with 137,768. So i wanted to find a good deal. And again like the 2008 koala. I found the best deal was to buy it as a slabbed coin. So here it is as a Mint state 69.

The rest was relatively easy to fill in the rest of the set. Over the course of 2017 I was about make youtube trades and find them for good deals on eBay. Below is my entire set..

I do still have to get the 2018, but I will get that one soon enough. I would still like to get the 2007 and 2008 as raw coins for the display box at some point, but they have to come at the right price. Right now I am just happy I have them all and it didn’t cost me too much..
