Stopped at my favorite LCS today, small silver pickup...
I drove by my favorite LCS (Local Coin Shop) today while working so I decided to stop in and grab 2 oz's of silver. It is my favorite shop because of the their selection of both bullion and numismatics, great prices + tax free, and the friendly shopkeepers.
I ended up getting:
2016 Kookaburra at $21.18 USD ($3 over spot)
2000 American Silver Eagle w/milk spot at $19.18 USD ($1 over spot)
Eagle was $2 off because of the heavy milk. I think I got a great deal on both coins.
What do you all think about my purchase?
1oz of silver is still 1oz of silver. Didn't know the eagles had milkspots though, heard about maples getting them, I put mine in airtight plastics hoping to preserve them. But I'll take any deal for the steal silver is at right now!!!

Right on! I put some of my Eagles in airtites, some in a tube. I actually went back to the same coin shop yesterday and got another 2016 kookaburra and another "impaired" silver eagle at $1 over spot. It was in the impaired box but I didn't see anything wrong with it! Thanks for the comment :-)
These are nice pickups - You can not go wrong with American Silver Eagle and Kookaburra.

Oh milkspots...the bane of any stackers existance. At least in this case, it led to you getting an ASE with little premium. Nice pickups!
haha, yeah i used to hate milk spots but now I don't mind them much at all! also I followed you, I am always looking for more silver enthusiasts to follow.

Heck yeah me too, this dealer had a whole box of "impaired" eagles and "impaired"maple leafs and also assorted generic 1 oz pieces, ALL at $1 over spot!
He calls them "impaired" I call them coins with character!
