RE: Join the Ray Brockman Trail!
I don't know if this is the place, but I want to talk about something that I noticed.
I am following @raybrockman trail since about 6:00AM PT.
During this day till 7:00PM PT I upvoted 76 posts.
Of these 76 posts only 36 had something about coins, silver,
gold, crypto, money, pours, rounds, stack, stackitis,etc.
The other 40 were about anything that was not the reason of steemsilvergold exists. Most of them did not have even the tag steemsilvergold. Some of them the same person posted 2, 3, 4 articles that had nothing to do with steemsilvergold.
If the idea of the trail is to help the steemsilvergold community, then upvote something that has nothing to do with steemsilvergold is wrong.
I don't know the solution to this. Maybe upvote only when the member tags steemsilvergold.

You are forgetting one main thing about the SSG.... Our Members are SSG, every single post you upvoted was from a member of the SSG.
We want to support our members, on whatever they may be doing. Yes this is a precious metals group, but we have other interests also.
There is no way to only vote for someone when they only use the #steemsilvergold tag, we can either vote for everything, or none at all.
But you never know.... Maybe going through all those votes will bring you to a new passion for yourself....
I didn't know that we can't upvote based on a tag, but I don't think that a 69 years old man will develop a new passion...:=))
My fear is the abusing of the trail. Let's suppose that tomorrow I will post ten or more articles, each one consisting of a different photo of my dog. I will be upvoted by everybody ten or more times a day and I will do this for several months. At the end I will be a whale and I didn't help the community at all. So I suggest that each member can only be upvoted once a day, like ssg-community does. Could it be possible?
Not with the current autovoter that @raybrockman is using..... But he can see in his logs all the votes that go out and remove someone that abuses this trail.
We as a community can help look out for those things and keep an eye on abuse. If the community comes to notice these things we can put a motion in to remove abusive people from the trail or SSG all together.
