# 432 - Some Canadian History - Part 11

A few years ago it issued a series of silver medallions related to the Canadian History.
They weight around 11.6g (0.37oz), have a 92.5% silver purity and Proof finish.
I could not find how many different medallions were issued, but I have 20 of them and they will be shown chronologically.
The eleventh is the 1837 - Rebellion of 1837: Lower Canada
French Canadians in Lower Canada took up arms against the British Crown in a rebellion in 1837 and 1838. The tensions between the colony's English-speaking minority and the growing, nationalistic aspirations of its French-speaking majority were the main cause.
The rebellion failed, but it fueled the speed of political reform.
