Taking Louis on vacation
Meet Louis. I've decided to make him my pocket piece.
I took him on a trip this weekend to Mackinac Island, in Michigan. **Side note: If you've never heard of Mackinac Island, it's worth looking up. There are no cars allowed, so everyone gets around on foot, bike, or horse-drawn cart. It's a pretty neat place, once you get away from the main tourist area.
We climbed in the car and started driving to the ferry dock...
...stopped to climb to the top of a lighthouse along the way...
...took the ferry to the island, then rented a bike and headed out.
We saw some of the local plant life...
...some of which was more dangerous than others!
Then we sat on the beach at British Landing and looked for interesting rocks... 
...and found a little pool for him to take a swim.
After biking all the way around the island, we got a treat.
We ended the day sitting by the water, looking at the Mackinac Bridge in the distance, enjoying our snack.
What a fun day!
It's nice that Louis is square. It makes it easier for him to pose!

Thanks for the comments, all. I believe the bar is from the 1970's. It was a bit worn when I got it, but that's generally how I like them; with some history.
