Venezuela Stops Accepting Dollar. Now On Travel Ban

The Trump administration just added Venezuela to their list of travel ban countries. According to the CNN article the reasoning for adding Venezuela was because of their failure “to share public safety and terrorism-related information adequately.” It goes on further stating “It’s clear that we have a very uncooperative government,” one official said. What I find interesting about this is that earlier in this month Venezuela stopped accepting dollars. President Maduro indicated that 'Venezuela will create a basket of currencies to free us from the dollar,” Source
I don't know if there is an exact correlation but I do find it interesting that Venezuela is freeing themselves from the petrodollar and just a few weeks later they are on a travel ban. There could be more to it that I don't understand, but it wouldn't surprise me to see a Government propaganda campaign to find reasons to attack or otherwise do harm Venezuela and their leadership.

Lets not pretend Venezuela has been friendly toward the united states. The anti-america rhetoric has been going strong since 1999. Our trade relationship has been strained since the communists/socialists destroyed the nation.
