Got a package in the mail yesterday and I'm pretty sure there is some shiny stuff in there! But let's open it and find out.

Huh I don't remember ordering any bubble wrap??

Oh yeah! I do remember ordering up some silver though!

I had to get the 2018 Kookaburra, a lot of people didn't like this one but I think it is beautiful with the big moon in the background, I really like this design.

The other coin is the first ever silver bullion coin from the Czech Mint, has a pretty cool lion on it and with a mintage of only 10,000 I just wanted to have a piece of this history. The coin is actually pretty flawless, they did a really good job minting this coin.

Thanks for stopping by!

2018 Kookaburra is awesome. I didn't know they were already available.

very nice i really like the new kook with that big moon it makes me wanna howl :)

lol, I like the detail with all the craters.

Love the Czech coin, gonna have to check that one out. Thanks buddy

Yeah it's actually a pretty cool coin, at first I wasn't too excited about it but once I had it in hand and could see all the detail in person it grew on me.

Man im going to have to add that czech coin to the list of silvee Id really like. That lion is awesome. I do like all the austalian coins as well and that new design is no different for me. Still a fan. Congrats on the awesome pick ups.

Thanks man, both of these coins are keepers for sure!

That coin from the czech mint is so cool, i'll have to look into getting that one for sure, thanks for sharing

Thanks for stopping by! Yeah the Czech coin has grown on me.

Great choices! I need to get me a 2018 Kook or two -- i like it!
The Czech lion looks interesting but it looks like the Lion has two tails (?)

Cheers Grizzman

I noticed that too about the lions two tails. I found this that "may" explain it, but it looks like no one knows for sure why the Czech coat of arms lion has two tails.

It is not easy to be sure for lack of historical sources. Vladislav II. got a first sign with a lion from Friedrich Barbarossa in 1158 together with title "king" as a reminder that Czech warriors fought for Friedrich "as lions". But this lion had just one tail. Where we got the double-tailed lion? Maybe this comes from Premysl Otakar II. He was using a double-tailed lion sign to hint that he is "a second or younger king" of Bohemia (1247). When he was crowned as the king, he kept the double-tailed lion as the Czech coat. And so it remains until today...

Indeed we learn something everyday!

cool bit of history there :)
