What would you pay - help please!
It was a slow day at work today, so I did what any other #steemsilvergold member would do...cruise the net looking for silver 😎
I stumbled across this bad boy that someone was selling privately,
I don't know a lot about it aside from the obvious, a) I want it and 2) its a 10oz silver JM & M bar. I know there's the intrinsic value of the 10oz silver, roughly $215 CAD spot price. There's also the collector value here but just how much??
I wasn't sure what a fair price for this piece would be so I am opening it up to #steemsilvergold and asking for your help. What would you be willing to pay for this piece?
I'd give every Canadian dollar I have.

It's definately fairly rare. I can't find any mintage numbers but I've seen the 20 oz exact same design listed and they had a mintage of under 3k. You won't see many with that stamp because most have been melted down over the years. I honestly wouldn't pay too much over spot tho because it's a niche market for bars like that. If it were at my coin shop I wouldn't pay much over spot for it and if I were to sell it I wouldn't get any premium for it at all even tho it's so old. Items like this you have to sell online. Now if you can get it for a decent price I'd turn right around and list it for a rediculous price on eBay and hope to hook someone for a couple hundred over spot..
Good advice man, it’s easy for the collector in me to get carried away with excitement.
I do know that JM & M command a premium over just vintage JM bars, but otherwise not too sure either man. I would just start with a lowball offer.

as close to spot as you can get it, i would pay 20% extra if i really wanted it because were used to that in the UK with VAT!!
