Small midweek addition \o/ worn but nice Half crown
Another small midweek addition to the stack (hey they all mount up right :) ), Although this coin is kinda worn, it spoke to me when i saw it on ebay and i grabbed it.
Its an 1897 Queen Victoria Half crown, 1897 was actually her Diamond Jubilee year and was also a year that saw the first conviction for drink driving given to London Taxi Driver 'George Smith'. The same year saw the Tate gallery open in London and Enid Blyton was born also.
The coin weighs in at 13.5g of sterling silver and a small but welcome midweek addition to the stack \o/
Here it is worn but welcome thanks for looking.
