It was minted of .835 % silver weighs 10 grams and is 27 mm in diameter .
The obverse of this coin shows a liberty like figure walking to the left sowing seeds . She is known in French culture as "La Semeuse"(the sower) . She is surrounded by the words REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE .
The reverse features an olive branch in the center with 2 franc above and the year (1902) below . The motto LIBERTE·EGALITE·FRATERNITE (LIBERTY·EQUALITY·FRATERNITY) .
The edge of the coin is reeded .
