RE: ADSactly contest - SteemShort #2 - Post 2: Request for the Middle Part of the Story

in #steemshorts7 years ago (edited)

The crash was only the beginning, in that ditch could lay all of Kenny's hopes, dreams, and aspirations. As he flickered in and out of consciousness, the scenes of his life started flying by him. The warm glow of a radiating light began to consume him, it felt like floating on a cloud.

But- in a flash, Kenny decided it wasn't his time. He rejected the light lifting from his suffering and gritted down on the harsh reality. He was consumed by darkness, and he had only his own hopes that could be his guiding light, and salvation.

The thoughts of his daughter flashed in his mind, and this hope he had guiding him back to reality was only at first a dim glow, but had transcended into a bright light of warmth. It became blinding, before he knew it, he gasped.

He was back in his body, like a flashback through time. Still on the road, and Lynda was grabbing for the wheel. He was in shock. What had just happened? Was it fate, or a warning sign?

He felt his arm coil, but then he remembered the feeling of hope and the innocence in his daughters eyes.

@sistem beautifully put :) will you be proposing a middle too? Or letting someone else write next.

@Vcelier is 200 on the dot acceptable?

@sistem is not allowed (by the rules) to submit a proposal for the middle and the last parts of the story.

Yes, 200 words is good. Your summary is 199 words long.

Thank you for your valid summary.

Great imagery. I also submitted an entry (below), but I can see why yours is popular. Really well done.
