My summary proposal:

Kenny and Lynda survive the crash but not without consequences. Their daughter doesn't make it out alive. And although both come out maimed from the accident, Lynda has it worse than Kenny, she has her spine damaged in the process, while Kenny suffers mere bruises and a broken ankle, which he has back in an okay condition in less than a month's time. Lynda’s family blame Kenny for the mishap but tries their best to support Lynda seeing that she has lost both the use of her legs, and her child.

Things turn for worse when Kenny gets tired of taking care of a handicapped wife, and decides to get a divorce. Her parents wouldn't hear of it and they threaten to get him arrested if he eventually leaves her, with accusations of him causing the actual accident.
