Product Review: Cabela’s Dehydrator

I just purchased this dehydrator from Cabelas and decided to test it by making some beef jerky. Worked like a champ!!

The settings are easy to use and it is equipped with a timer that automatically powers down the unit when the time is up. You can basically set it and forget it!

The unit I purchased has 12 drying trays and easily accommodates 10 pounds of meat. I

The meat dried consistently with no need to rotate trays. I have previously used the lower end plastic units and found that they worked great, but the trays get brittle and there were no bells and whistles with those. While this unit is a little pricier, it appears to be well worth it I highly recommend this unit.
