Teniendo como referente el artículo anterior, donde escribí un poco sobre el Centro Cultural “El Mirador”, quiero comentarles en el día de hoy, que este abre sus puertas con las baterías bien puestas de cara a la Serie del Caribe a realizarse en la ciudad de Barquisimeto del 2 al 8 de febrero 2019.
De las manos de mujeres creativas, trabajadoras e incansables surge una rica y suculenta gastronomía típica larense, dulcería criolla, artesanías y bebidas para todos los gustos, entre

las que destacan la chicha de maíz, un rico fororo, una fría sangría o infusión de menta, malojillo, yerbabuena, servicios que se prestan en el amplio espacio de la Churuata, decorada con lámparas artesanales y motivos alegóricos de la cultura latinoamericana; pero además “El Mirador” como se le conoce cariñosamente, sirve de zona de esparcimiento para estar en paz con la naturaleza, propicia el descanso y ofrece además visitas guiadas a las fincas cafetaleras ubicadas en las hermosas montañas de Rio Claro, donde el turista podrá disfrutar de fabulosos parajes, conocer sobre el proceso productivo del café y hasta bañarse en aguas cristalinas en el parque El Manguito, donde el ruido más intenso es el caer del agua sobre las rocas o disfrutar de los mejores prados naturales, conocidos como las Lomas del Toro.
Cabe destacar que este espacio, es producto de la iniciativa de compañeras vinculadas al movimiento de mujeres de la parroquia Juares, quienes día a día con su esfuerzo ofrecen el servicio de hospedaje con una capacidad operativa para 60 personas, seguridad garantizada,

con vista directa a la ciudad y desde donde se puede observar el Monumento de la Virgen, así como el aeropuerto, se encuentra ubicado en el Km 9 vía Río Claro, a escasos 10 minutos de la Av. Ribereña desde donde se accede directamente al estadio de Barquisimeto, sede de los encuentros beisbolísticos de la Serie del Caribe.
Por ultimo quiero destacar el hecho que el Centro Cultural “El Mirador” es un espacio recuperado con la participación de artesanos(as), muralistas, creativos(as), quienes han impregnado este espacio con su calidez, que envuelve y se percibe mucho amor en el trabajo realizado.
