Today I would like to share about Strobist photography under sunset.

Sometimes when photographing, we face a situation where the object we want to appear against another to light. The term in photography is the backlight. These conditions often occur when we are photographing a sunset, sunrise or strobist photo session which we deliberately put the external flash behind the model for dramatic photos. Well, the light coming from behind the object to be photographed will make the camera metering for measuring difficulty lighting the main object. Condition with strong light from behind. If we measure the metering of the camera in the background then the result is the main object will appear as a silhouette, conversely, if we measure the metering on the object then the background will appear over exposure. Unless you want to use HDR techniques or want to take pictures with the concept of a High Key, the second situation above is not a problem. But if you want a balance between objects with light coming from the direction of the back, please use the flash light to illuminate the main object.

Terkadang ketika memotret, kita ingin memanfaatkan situasi membelakangi cahaya yang sering kita sebut sebagai backlight. Kondisi ini sering terjadi saat muncul sunset, sunrise atau memposisikan flash di belakang objek agar foto lebih tampak dramatis. Pasti saat kita memotret dengan prosedur demikan, sering metering kamera mengalami kegagalan saat mendeteksi ukuran cahaya pada objek utama. Jika kita mengukur metering cahaya pada background, maka akan menghasilkan gambar silluet. Sebaliknya, jika kita mengatur metering cahaya pada objek, maka akan over exposure pada background. Kecuali kalian menggunakan teknik HDR, maka kedua teknik di atas tidak menjadi masalah. Tetapi, jika kamu ingin menyeimbangkan cahaya antara objek dan background maka kalian wajib menggunakan flash atau strobe dan arahkan pada objek agar gambar menjadi sempurna.
