Why should you care about that?
Well, once your profile and Airbnb listings are optimized, your listings will show up higher in search results.
But...
How does that help you out?
Once you're getting more eyes on your listing, you will inevitably get more bookings, which means you can raise your prices.
There are a few factors that will help you rank higher on the search results.
Let's get into it
Reply time: reply time is a very big factor when it comes to ranking. After a while, you'll be able to predict what questions people ask you regularly. You can write these in your welcome message even if guests don't queation them. If you respond quicker than your competitors, you will more likely get the booking. You can also prequalify prospects this way by telling them things about your property so it's not a surprise when they arrive. That can lead to bad reviews, which will hurt your search ranking.
Listing description: this is a big ranking factor. Make your readers feel warm and fuzzy about your property when they read your description.
Pictures: eye catching pictures are very important. Take a look at the listings that your competing against and ask yourself how you can contrast them. Eg if all cover photos are dull, have a vibrant picture so you stand out.
Reviews: this is a ranking factor too. I have another blog post on getting good reviews that I will link at the bottom.
Instant book: if you have instant book enabled, you will appeal to a wider audience. To protect yourself, you can set rules for who you allow to book instantly.
