Visit to the Guaricha Park. Maturín, Monagas, Venezuela
Greetings Bloggers!
Today I will not share any drawing or painting with you, however, what I want to show you is still art. It is the most beautiful and perfect art that is woven by the sublime hands of Mother Nature.
On one of my visits to Maturin, Monagas State, my friend @greciaamidala and I planned to visit the "Guaricha Park" which is literally a street crossing from her house.
The name "La Guaricha" was given to the park because this term has been used since time immemorial to refer to children and is already native to the region. It consists of 7 hectares that are divided into green areas, lakes, food kiosks, etc.. Enough space to spend a pleasant morning or an afternoon stroll.
When I was a child, I had the opportunity to visit him, but at that age, perhaps I didn't appreciate the beauty of the animals that are there in the same way I do today. The experience was magnificent; we went through it completely and photographed the animals, which I will share with you on this occasion.
Let's start!
I want to start with the protagonist of the tour, the Peacock. I had never seen one so beautiful and capturing it in this way was a great achievement. I remember that at that moment he was courting the women of his species, that's why he had an extended tail, so we were lucky.
Here you can see capuchin monkeys. Fortunately, the tree they were in was in the center of a small island, because they have a reputation for mischief.
Here you can see some deer. The scene reminded me of the melancholic caricature of Disney, Bambi.
The Hawk, the Macaw and the Toucan, other birds that are admirable.
To finish with the birds, here I leave you the sleepy Owls.
The next one is a feline; the Jaguar, who captured him with the camera, was in a lazy attitude, as if he was just having a banquet.
Finally, I find myself next to the greatest of them all, the King of the Guaricha Park, Lion "Casimiro". After spending 29 years in the park, he died due to the negligence of the employees who were working there at the time (very regrettable). This was in 2009. The lion was buried in the same park and in his honor, this monument was erected.
Thank you for joining me in this adventure, I hope you liked it. You know, if you ever visit Maturin, don't hesitate to stop by this zoo that has such beautiful specimens of nature.
Beautiful landscapes, nature is an art as you said it
Thank you! Oh yes, it is.
