Social skills are located within the skills that lead to relate in the best way with others. They are interpersonal skills from communication to the gestural part, and how another person is treated at a given moment. This allows us to realize that there is an intervention of the cognitive part, because to relate to others, we must start from a knowledge of how to treat and express. But it also has to do with the world of emotions, with the sensitization of the other and of oneself.
Socialization begins with the person, through the security that is projected in others, and this facilitates the deal, but it also has to do with placing oneself in the place of the other to understand it.
How empathy and socialization are involved in the development of children
It is about being assertive and tolerant. Is that social skills, should be worked on children as a culture of peace, that is, learn to live together.

In specific cases it is to be attentive to the children, to work with the emotions because they remain in a constant jump and, sometimes, they get out of control; It is necessary to teach children to control themselves in social skills, with special emphasis on ages between seven and twelve years, be very aware of the behaviors.
There are examples that are easy to visualize to minimize and help children to be more sociable, distancing them a little from:
❖ Indefinite time on the computer.
❖ When they want to be isolated all the time.
❖ Electronic games.
It is possible that when we realize the counterproductive effect of these, we will see reactions like:
❖ Intolerance.
❖ Aggressiveness.
It is then when a bad habit or addiction is formed by repetition, creating a habit in the game, the toy, in the chat, and not that it is entirely harmful, but it creates a bad habit that must be dealt with in time.
That is why we have to be vigilant, because behaviors are not born, they are formed.
It is necessary to avoid behaviors that children observe, and that these isolate them from being sociable, such as:
❖ Abuse.
❖ Screams.
This causes repression and then leads to the discharge, in attacking and not being aware, because he does not know how to deal with and be well with others.
How do children learn social skills?
There are different levels to create social skills, which are encompassed in a series of factors that intervene so that everything is liked.
❖ The rules of communication, knowing how to ask please, give thanks, smile, be gentle, that is, good forms, what is learned in the home and that takes hold in school. Value coexistence.
❖ Verbal communication. Know how to maintain the look and know how to maintain a conversation, and generate topics to talk about. Adults must be extremely creative, so that children participate and think, so they can form their criteria and have fun.
❖ Acceptance and tolerance. Where aggressive behaviors are also learned and is what should be avoided as destructive and erroneous learning in training.
You must develop these social skills at all levels, from home and school, to reach wider circles.

Social relationships are a source of satisfaction that everyone likes, because it allows to have friends, to be appreciated, because when people do not relate well, this can become a source of discomfort.
It is important to work with the safety and confidence of children, from small, if you want the child to have a strong self-esteem and feel safe, should receive positive and honest affections.
The game of musical hugs.
A music is placed and children must form groups and hug each other, without leaving a child without a hug. In this way, socialization is generated between laughter and hugs.
Children should dance to the rhythm of music, but always embraced and that is where they learn to feel empathy, to want to know each other, to see similarities and defects, but which are part of being human.
