I (@asgarth) would like to be more consistent publishing details of new releases here on our blog. For those of you who are used to the small release notes in our Discord channel no worries, I will drop a short summary in there as always ;)

Also starting with this release I'll add the build version number in each major update so you can refer to it in your feedback or when reporting an issue.

So here we are, the new SteemPeak 1.9.0 release is now live on https://steempeak.com/

Keep reading to check the list of new features/improvements and bug fixes that have been included in this release. Some of them can be better explained with a full post in the coming days, meanwhile feel free to ask if you want more details.

New Features:

- A new 'Snippet' popup is available in the Publish page to easily store piece of text you use often (a signature, a footer, ..)
- We started to roll out some additional 'commands' that an user can use when publishing a new post. These commands are currently available only on steempeak:
   a. AUTHOR: specify the author of a post when published by another account
   b. HIDDEN: the post will not be shown in the author blog and in the feed of his followers
- It's now possible to filter a blog with an URL parameter (sample: https://steempeak.com/@steempeak?filter=faq).
- Beneficiaries are now saved on drafts and templates
- Published drafts are now stored for up to 7 days in case you need to recover/copy part of them into a new post (available in the Draft page)
- The image slider used to view all the image of a post directly in the feed (only blog mode and mobile) have been completely rewritten and now should be better and faster (on mobile the difference is huge)
- There is now a Signin page for direct login (available only when not already logged in): https://steempeak.com/signin
- If you try to access a personal page when not logged in you are redirected to the new login page before proceeding
- Lot of big and small performance improvements

Improvements and Big Fixes:

- Restored 'Bookmark' menu on mobile
- Improved and reworked some of the popups across the website to load faster
- Fix the issue that show a browser username/password popup in case of authentication failure
- Some improvements to night mode
