Steem Value Discrepancy Between Steemit and Steempeak? (Also, slight UI bug with Steempeak I discovered)steemCreated with Sketch.

Hey @Steempeak, I just noticed earlier this evening that the values shown for my current amount of Steem in my wallet show different amounts. You can see the example below:
Screen Shot

As you can see, Steempeak is showing a value of $1.88 while Steemit shows a value of $2.15. While I know these values are just estimates, these seem like rather large discrepancies. The issue is that I have no clue whether this is an issue on Steempeak's end or on Steemit's end. But it's potentially something that needs to be looked at.

Also for @Steempeak, notice the slight UI bug on the wallet screen, with the drop down arrows moving to an odd location? That happens at just the right width of the screen just before it switches to a mobile/tablet display. It just so happens that half the width of my 1440p display is the right width to cause that. Might wanna look into that!

Just wanted to report a potential bug and a UI glitch to y'all! Thanks for your hard work, @Steempeak team! :)

Update: Since the introduction of the Steem Keychain for Steempeak, I've been using that to connect. It also shows an estimated value of my account, but it shows $1.60 as the estimated value. This is more inline with what Steempeak shows, but it still off a bit. Any ideas which is the correct amount? :/

@southernwolf thanks for the feedback. I've fixed the wallet page layout to address this problem and included the fix in the upcoming release.

The 'Estimated account value' is actually an estimation. Different website/tools use different sources to compute that value. The value on steemit is based on the internal Steem price, while SteemPeak and Keychain use the price retrieved from external sources. All those values are correct according to the source used to retrieve the Steem/USD price ;)

Hey @asgarth, got another UI fix for you. The "Add Beneficiaries" button in the "Write A Post" screen has some scaling issues. On my MacBook Pro Retina, the button overflows the bounding box for the writing post area.

You can see what it looks like here. It overflows more if the window is narrowed too:

Thanks, I improved the layout for the next release ;)

Awesome! 👍🏻

Awesome! Glad I could be of help by offering feedback!

Ah, that makes sense then! Thanks for clarifying that!

And I'll definitely check the Discord out! :)
