The first day of January in every year is always a beautiful one. It is a day that we usher in with so much pomp, energy, excitement and above all renewed hope and expectations. As a result, we embrace it with a fresh sense of re-dedication and commitment. Maybe, this happens with a view to righting the wrongs of the previous 12 months, that climaxed with over indulgence during the festive season. But certainly, it is seen as an opportunity to start all over again on a clean slate. Hence, the reason why, whether done consciously or otherwise, most of us pick January as that perfect timing for setting new goals for lives. Of course, we could have chosen any other time.
But the million dollar question that most of the time slips through without an answer is: "Do we Really always keep our new year's resolutions?" ''Do we actually execute our new year's goals, whether wholly or partially?''. The answer to these questions is neither a yes or a no. Why? Because, it is apparent that while some of us stick with and carry out their new set goals, as the year passes by, others tire out by the way side as the year draws along. Some on the other hand, only end up with goals written on paper without actions at all. Different strokes for different folks you might wanna say.
But here's the truth. Quitting smoking, giving up alcohol, quitting ''no-longer-wanted'' relationships(premarital or extramarital) and picking up healthy lifestyle, weight loss, exercising, dieting is by no means an easy journey to make. In fact, according to a report by www.iflscience.com/brain, about half the number of people living in the UK make new year's resolutions, annually. But less than 10% of that figure manage to carry them through for more than just a few months. Sometimes less than a few weeks.

But does this mean the situation is hopeless, bleak and gloomy. Of course not. It doesn't mean we should drop our shoulders and give up on achieving ours revolves for the year. We are instead required to give them our best shuts ever.
To achieve this, simply follow these steps:

1.BE REALISTIC: Resolve to make your goals/targets practical and achievable. Break them into manageable daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. And be sure not to procrastinate or carry over tasks.
2.TRY ACHIEVING ONE THING AT A TIME: In trying to start a healthy lifestyle for example, approach it one day at a time. First, give up smoking, then alcohol, and then join a gym. Pick one at a time and stay true to it till you see success.
3.ACCEPT LAPSE: When you fall back to an old habit, you are trying hard to quit, as it would sometimes happen, do not feel guilty or get mad at yourself. Relapse can sometimes be part of rehabilitation process. Just learn from it and do your best to avoid a repeat.
4.TELL SOMEONE ABOUT YOUR RESOLUTION: Find someone you can rely on. Tell them about your your new goals. Ask them to help monitor and keep you on track. And where necessary, do not hesitate to ask them for support and a little push.

Lol. 😊
Please do not let that happen.
You are so much better than that, I can tell from a thousand miles away.
Here's the trick, find a Way to break down your resolutions for the new into smaller bits that are both practical and achievable.
In addition, find some fun stuff to attach to your goals, so they become easy not to forget again.
