I'm sure you will! I'm gonna sleep on this post and see if I can dream up any ideas.
Are you guys aiming more towards a "news themed" logo such as Fox or CNN? (yeah, yeah, I know, that's more propaganda than news, but I'm using their logos as an example. haha)
We honestly don't know. In this sector, it's probably a good idea to go with at least a similar look. But, who knows? Maybe someone will come up with something that is off the map.

Sounds good, thanks for letting me know! I did happen to see that you were pushing more towards being independent (plus someone else let me know that, also), so none of my designs have the steemit logo incorporated. Hopefully you will like them!

I don't know how it lines up with London. You can just search to find out the time. I think it's midnight GMT right now.

I resteemed the announcement and also just put out a post for my followers, also! If you take a look at the last picture in my post, it shows what I meant by "negative space" to give you a better idea.
Hey @steemnews.online, one more question. If I am doing two color schemes with each logo I make, would you like each color scheme in a different comment, or is it ok to put each color scheme in the same comment, as long as it's the same logo?
If it's the same design, just lump them together to avoid confusion! We'll consider each comment as a separate entry. If, for some reason, you need to make additional comments or add details, feel free to do so in reply to your initial comment. Thanks!!

Hey @rigaronib, another designer asked about the logo, so I wanted to pass on what I said to him.
We are not part of Steemit Inc, so the Steem logo doesn't need to have a significant role in the design. That doesn't mean it can't, but that we want to be an independent brand. If voters like it anyway, then we'll be happy to work with it.
We tried to be clear in the rules, but only focused on the colors and not so much the logo. We hope this helps, and isn't too late. :)
