SteemMonsters - The battle is just getting started

I've been a bit busy lately, and haven't been posting much, so I decided to make a little poster to promote the fact that the public SteemMonsters battles begin soon!

This image is a remix, as is most of my artwork. It relies on the creativity of others, and extends it. The background is an image by a user named RnR on the Superpower Wiki, (see the original here). The outlines of the banners were created originally by a user named TheOriginalGinger on DeviantArt, (see the original here). I've added the backgrounds from the SteemMonsters battle arena, and the SteemMonsters Splinter icons to the banners, and assembled the whole thing into a single image, using The GIMP.

I'm really looking forward to the start of the public battles. I've been working on building up my main fighting team, which so far will be a Lyverian  lpha Edition Team. It will be interesting to see how they go in the battles. I still have a lot to learn about playing the game, and the strengths/weaknesses of each Team member, and how to position them for best effect. I'm sure that, as I begin playing the game itself, I'll pick it up more.

Can't wait until the Battles will start. My Team is also the Lyverian and Ipha it seems to me that those two are the most popular ones.

Yep, the thing is, it is getting harder and harder to improve my Team, when so many other people seem to be doing the same, from a very limited pool of available cards. I'll be at the bottom of the heap, as I can't afford to buy up piles of cards off the market all at once. And then you get the "card flippers" who come along and spend squodges of money on cards that they don't even need for their own battle teams, just to make a profit and force the prices in the market up for everyone else. That type of attitude is going to ruin this game, I'm sure.

As much as I'm going out of my way to avoid participating, I'm pretty interested in seeing how the battles go as well, it looks like it's going to be good! XD

Yes, the battle interface looks like fun. I've watched several of the practice games that the Monster Mavericks have been playing now, and I'm still trying to get my head around the possible scenarios, strategic placement and disposition of the monsters, and the precedence of the game order. There is so much to learn and understand in it! I think once I have played a few (hundred) rounds myself, I'll have a much better idea of it all.

Ahhh sounds like fun! I'm staying away even harder XD
