2 Weeks into my Steem Monster journey!
Hello Steemit, I am sure alot of you will have heard about Steem Monsters which is a card based game on the STEEM blockchain. Steem Monsters have been in there pre-sale stage selling starter packs for $5 and booster packs for $2. The word on the street is there will be 1.5 million of these alpha cards released and after they are sold out, they will not be more. If the game spreads like wildfire, 1.5 million cards i assume would not be enough and new sets of cards will be released making these alpha cards possibly rare and collectible. The actual game itself is the planed to go live around end September, start October time so not that long to wait. As far as i can see, you play the game by selecting a group/team of cards and put them to battle. While battling, you can watch as it takes place. Apart from that, i dont know much else about it. I only read post's here on Steemit and pop in and out of the discord server.
For the past 2 weeks i have been buying up 10-15 packs every night but the novelty has now ware off and im sorta getting bored of opening packs. Dont get me wrong, i have got alot of good stuff but im sorta just waiting for the game to start. Let's have a look at some of the cool shit i have.

I plan to complete this by buying on the secondary market

What's Next?
I have no idea, im waiting for the game to be released and then we will go from there. I am not really a gamer to be honest and have little interest but i have never tired and this could be something i really get into. I do plan to play a few times to try it out but when its boils down, it depends what the rewards are to be honest, nothing motivates better than good rewards. I am currently holding a gold foil Chromatic Dragon legend card but as far as i know, its useless to me without a Selenia Sky gold foil legend (Please correct me if i am wrong) which is currently priced at $1955, so no chance. I have a 1 in 8000 chance of getting a pack with one so there is hope. As the secondary market of gold foil legends is very slow with sales being far and few between, i am forced to hodl mine and go with the flow. If it is of no use to me for gameplay, then i dont need it and will either sell it for whatever are i have heard rumors that it might be possible to lease out Steem Monsters in the furture. If there is any truth in this, sign me up and i'll be very happy to lease my gold dragon out for a small passive income any day of week.
Until the game is live, i will continue to read posts on Steemit to stay up to date, i dont think i will be buying any more booster packs. Once your get a gold fold legend in a pack, the only way to top it is to get a more rare gold legend which is very unlikely so im literary chasing dragons and we all know were that leads too.....

I can use any gold summoner for any gold dragon then? Ok, i can save up a little STEEM and buy one for $30ish. Big difference between $30 and $2000, haha. Thanks buddy
No, the summoner only summons monsters of its color. To summon a dragon you must use Selenia.
I bought few packs but not sure how to combine and what I am missing on...
You can combine them by clicking on the cards in ''my collection'' If you have more than 1 of that card, you have the option to combine.
I combined all mine in the beginning and have not the past week. Im not sure if it is a good are bad thing, some people say do and some say dont.
