Splinterlands: Collecting the Team
I was stoked although nervous as I am pretty shy and that was clear after my first day. It wasn’t until the evening dinner that I gained the courage to ask for a card. It happened to be from the Wizard himself, Matt! He was so happy to give them out as he was very approachable. In fact, I sat at his table for dinner! After great stories and talking crypto, the challenge was on for others at the venue.
I went on a scavenger hunt and ended the night with a handful of the team cards. I knew there were more to get so it would be my focus on the second day. However, the second day was busy as the tournaments were on and after a late start people were very busy engaging with the team at the venue. I was happy to get Aggy’s in addition to a great chat on eSports given the excitement on the tournament. After a few successes, I kind of lost track and missed a couple of key team members.
By the time I knew it, I was on the dock for the tournament so I had to stay confined to the area if the matches. The excitement and adrenaline of being in the bracket made me forget about the mission so I really made little progress at the end. Being so tired at the end of the day, I called it a wrap without completing the full set. However, I was encouraged by the approach and openness of team during the event so I know I will have another chance in the future. Another great experience from the inaugural Splinterfest 2022!
