RE: Weekly Card Action with Akox [#001]
I think your card counts (at least for the commons) is counting combined cards as a single card. Not sure if that's really representative.

Yes, when cards are combined it results in one single card being left and the other are removed from circulation, so I believe he's representing the amount of cards that exist correctly.
If there are 10 of a certain card, and 5 are combined, then that only leaves 6 cards of those cards in existence which in effect makes them more rare.
Yes. I think that will matter later on when gameplay is launched.
For now, a lot (most?) people are keeping their cards as singles to make trading easier.
So when we look at these lines:
Minotaur Warrior 3282
Rexxie 6367
It's not really that the minotaur is twice as rare as rexxie, it's just that for whatever reason more of the minotaur have been combined but there is still plenty of supply and the drop rates are roughly the same.
When we get into game mode and a disparity like that exists it will be much more important price-wise
The information for total number of cards created is available as well. If you add the number of cards in existence to the total XP of all cards of that type divided by the XP per card when combining then you can find the info you're looking for. Perhaps @themonstertrader can include that in future posts!
Hi @yabapmatt
maybe you are not aware but steembottracker.com is promoting a scam:
the bot "promobot" show a Min / max ROI of "-2% / 2.5%"
but the reality is "-6.5% / 0%", as explained by promobot here
the estimated ROI in the details section are also totally wrong for this bot.
You have to remove it from your list
Yep, I use @lukestokes' list for that
Thanks again, for all your genius on this, mate.
Is it possible someone could build a site/tool which shows all previous owners of a given card, and/or all previous owners of all the cards which were combined to make it?
(I'm assuming it is, but just wanted to be sure)
Yea, absolutely it is, and that would be totally awesome! One day certain cards might be worth more because they were once owned by a celebrity lol!
That's where I started, too, but chase that white rabbit a bit and things get even more interesting;
A trusted, transparent charity verifies ownership of an account, and announces that they'll auction off the contents of one (and only one) booster pack every month for the foreseeable future.
I'd be bidding on those cards.
I want my publicly visible collection to demonstrate my charitable nature; and I would certainly anticipate that when big players arrive they'll be willing to pay me a premium for those cards, so they'll not only retain their value, they'll help bolster the price the charity gets each month at auction.
The more noble, trustworthy and transparent the charity, and the more sparing and certain their schedule of opening packs and selling cards, the higher the premium we can expect.
Combining cards would add a whole lot of other owner names to the list, but the charity would still be one of them.
I can even imagine people deliberately building a Max common including dozens of different charities' cards
