BUILD DECKS, GO TO WORK, LET THE RESULTS ROLL OUT ... the original SteemMonsters idea

THE ORIGINAL TOURNAMENT IDEA IS NOW WITHIN REACH

From my distant memory of last summer the big cool idea I remember of SteemMonsters was that it could be a game you play in the morning in a flurry of activity and then go to work or school and during the day let everything play out.

It was kind of what most of us were thinking would happen with tournaments and it was cool and it was novel and that's kind of how many of us advertised SteemMonsters.

Tournaments has mostly gone to a live game play system and that's a fun option as well... however I think we're at a point where that original awesome idea can happen.

HOW TO MAKE IT HAPPEN

Round Robin games where you play everyone in the tournament.
1 game, maybe 2 or 3 against each person in the tournament (or your group)
Wins, losses and draws all get points (forfeits get penalized) and those with the highest points make it to a bracket style final.

If you have tons of players you have groups (heats) and then those players face eachother in another group play or a bracket.

This allows people to create all their decks really quickly... playing a ton of games essentially in a fraction of time it takes to play tournaments now or seasonal play.

AT YOUR PACE

Everyone can play at their own pace throughout the day or week.
Go through the list of all 32 games you need to play for that tournament for example and set up your decks for each. That could take as little as 15-30 minutes or if you take a long time maybe it takes you an hour or two. There wouldn't need to be a time limit. You could even research your oponent and make it a real mind game. Or be a speed demon and get your tournament teams set in like 10 minutes before heading to work.

A weekly tournament worth $1000usd can be spread out for the entire week.
Maybe it's divided by 500 diamond 300 gold 150 silver 50 bronze with 4 different tournaments happening.

LET'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

This is how I would want to play steemmonsters... in a flurry of activity. Live bracket tournaments are fun but for some of us setting aside time to play in a tournament where if you don't win the first match you've essentially scheduled out your day for nothing and didn't really enjoy your time you set aside.
